On Sunday, June 15th, Christians throughout Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma will begin two weeks of fasting and prayer for Israel. Believers will *fast one meal daily and pray for Israel, using the daily topic listing as a guide. Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper. Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, Pastor's Will You Help Us Pray? Israel is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the historic event in 1948 which again recognized Israel as a nation. In April, God began to move upon my heart to fast a meal daily and pray for Israel for two weeks which I did. God has moved on my heart to invite the churches and other ministries of our area to join our church in two weeks of prayer and fasting for Israel. We have 14 Prayer Topics which I submitted to a ministry in Israel for comment. They confirmed each of the 14 as vital. On June 15, we will proclaim the fortnight of prayer and fasting for Israel in Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. I know we will have the blessing and favor of God. He rewards those who pray for Israel. I am inviting your church to join us. We will keep this very simple. You make the proclamation in your church and distribute prayer topic lists and model prayers; a master copy will be provided for photocopying. You are welcome to add to that list as God leads you. You may design corporate prayer events at your church if you choose. There will be advertising in the Times Record, inviting the public to join in fasting one meal daily and praying for Israel. Each church, ministry or organization participating in this fortnight of prayer will be listed on the ad. The ad will be submitted to each participating church for their approval before publication if they desire. You may contribute financially toward the ad if you choose. However, a donation is not required for participation. The advertisement will be professionally produced and presented in such a fashion that all churches participating will be afforded equal recognition. We will not headline Victory Temple though we are leading the effort. Names of churches will be listed in the order they join this effort.
